The system utilizes 900 MHz DSS wireless and advanced voice recognition technology to totally automate the call making and receiving process for standard analog phone usage. The ArialPhone Earset communicates to the Base Station, which attaches to the user's personal computer through a standard USB cable and port, and to a telephone line through a standard phone jack. The Earset has no screen, keyboard, or dial pad but instead provides a single button with the function to alert the computer of an imminent voice command from the user. The voice recognition capabilities of ArialPhone enable the user to access the PC and control productivity functions such as voice dialing by name or telephone number. The ArialPhone software accesses and utilizes the names and telephone numbers in the user's contact directory through a dynamic interface to Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, and ACT! contact management software.
