The Olympus LS-100 looks weird, is built well and records like no other. The LS-100, like its spiritual ancestor the LS-10, is really designed for musicians and live music enthusiasts, but recording professionals and hobbyists will appreciate everything it has to offer: it can record, with minimal clipping, up to 140 dBspl of sound pressure; it has left and right phantom-power XLR inputs; the built-in condenser microphones are Olympus's most advanced ever; it has a built-in metronome and tuner; and an easy-to-adjust left/right balancer.
